I am working with the South East Physics Network and the School of Physics and Astronomy at Queen Mary, University of London to run theĀ Be a Scientist for a Day with CassiniĀ competition.
It is a scientific writing competition which is open to 11-18 year olds in the UK and supported by ESA and NASA, students are challenged to take on the role of the project scientists and decide what science the Cassini mission should be doing.
There are fantastic prizes on offer for entrants, with the top prize for the senior age category being a week-long project with Professor Carl Murray, the only UK member of the Cassini Imaging team.
Full details are online here and the deadline is the 5th December 2012.
